Apricots
- This way it is easy to see the dead wood that should be cleaned out.
- Unwieldy branches can be tamed.
- Growth this year will bear fruit next year.
- Bring the height down so fruit is in picking distance range. Trim and thin out some of the over extended branches.
Peaches
- Should just be shaped back where unwieldy and cut more extensively in January. There is a short time in the North San Gabriel Valley when trees are dormant. Then they can be sprayed as well.
Boysenberries
- Cut the spent cane to the ground. Feed to encourage new canes.
