Today's bounty - all but the sweet peas and lilac will go in salad
- *"Peter Pan" patty pan summer squash
- *Basil
- *Yellow and green pole and bush green beans
- *English cucumber
- *Chives
- *French tarragon - only a fraction of what is growing, these will be dried
- *Oregano - only a fraction of what is growing, these will be dried
- *Blueberries and raspberries - I ate them on the spot
- *Sweet peas - the fragrance
- *Lilacs - wonderful fragrance, low chill variety
- *Nasturtiums
I love blueberry plants. They always grow so well for me! Lilacs come in well in my garden as well
ReplyDeleteThese blueberries are Avon and Misty. They are each a little different. What varieties grow in your area?
ReplyDeleteHad blackberries and raspberries today as well. Raspberries are not very hardy at least in SoCal. I think they do better in different climates.
Our wonderful arboretums have bred lilacs that do well in this climate. I remember them as a child in the Chicago area at some restaurant I think. I never forgot the fragrance.
